The main output of the project has been the SIGGS Self-evaluation tool.
By completing an online self-assessment, sport organisations (National Olympic Committees, national sport federations and national sport confederations) can get an overview of their strengths and weaknesses in terms of the implementation of four principles: Integrity, Autonomy & Accountability, Transparency, and Democracy, Participation & Inclusivity.
For three selected weaknesses, sport organisations receive a customised Action Plan tailored to their specific situation. This Action Plan provides examples and concrete proposals for
actions taking into consideration the current level of development. For each element, a separate Roadmap lists all necessary information for an organisation to improve their governance.
All these functionalities have been integrated in one online tool, which is free of charge and accessible through the following link: siggs.novagov.com.
More information on how to use the tool can be found in the booklet: “SIGGS Project: Boosting the governance of sport”.
